The following is a list of Documents that are usually the standard information needed to qualify for a Mortgage:
For Borrower and Co-Borrower For A Standard Purchase
1. W2's (last two years) / 1099 for self employed
2. Most recent pay stubs / usually last two
3. Most recent Checking account bank statements (all pages, even if the pages are blank and state ,"intentionally left blank" they must usually be submitted. If your bank statement shows pages number 1 of 12, then twelve pages must be shown even if they count the back of a page)
4. Most recent Savings account bank statement (If you have a savings account the same rule of showing all pages still apply
5. Asset Statements (Assets can be trust, stocks, bonds, 401k's ect. Since, companies that manage these assets usually send statements quarterly, Find the last quarter or contact them for an updated statement. *Most lenders will not accept internet print outs of statements, but rules are changing, so if you can only get statements via the internet, contact your loan officer for the lender's requirements
6. As with all loans (as required by the patriot act) A VALID STATE DRIVERS LICENSE AND SOCIAL SECURITY CARD - The underwriters and closing departments at mortgage companies will usually only accept a Valid picture passport and a printout* (*signed dated and contact phone number) from The Social Security Administration as substitutes for the requirements
